Welcome to charityshopdj.com, the site of Charity Shop DJ and the EasyAction Sound System Mission Statement
To promote the giving of vinyl records to charityTo understand these records as a resource To promote recycling and re-use, in particular with the charitable sector To initiate and work on projects that celebrate diversity, equality, and individual and collective identities To celebrate our creative and musical heritage To bring people from all walks of life together through music To party
Charity Shop DJ is not about taking the mickey out of “cheesey” old records. All those records we all find in charity shops belonged at one time or another to people from our diverse communities. We can understand them as social documents, and as a means through which it is possible for people of all ages and backgrounds to catch glimpses of one another. Back to Previous Page
