Reminiscence Work

Discarded vinyl records are a key resource for reminiscence work.

A box of records obtained from a charity shop will almost always contain at least one tune that brings back memories for someone.

As part of the EasyAction music project, Charity Shop DJ may be available to visit care homes, residential homes for the elderly, libraries and community groups, to facilitate reminiscence sessions.

Charity Shop DJ ( aka Andy Jupp ) has undergone reminiscence work training at the Age Exchange, London.

Reminiscence sessions can be set up with people of all ages, and in any situation from care homes to pubs and house parties.
