The Charity Shop DJ Picture Show

First seen at the Boris Baggs Gallery, Paddington, the Charity Shop DJ Picture Show is a visual and audio celebration of our musical heritage.

The idea is simple: Ask somebody - anybody - to be photographed with their favourite record.

No matter who they are, everybody has a record which means something to them. Artwork, sleevenotes, familiar tracklistings, a predictable scratch in the vinyl, the record as a physical object.

Music shapes identity and colours memory. The images below feature some of the people who made the Show.
