An afternoon party in the biggest charity shop we've ever seen. It was all part of the 'Gift of Giving' Festival held at the Royal Festival Hall in partnership with the Mind charity. We encouraged our young guests to select music from charity shop LPs and taught them how to play their choices on the decks. Lots of fun was had choosing music, dedicating it to mums and dads, and having a dance. Although unfamiliar with vinyl, the music struck chords with the kids, who proved to be unstoppable. Children and grown-ups alike also enjoyed fantastical storytelling sessions inspired by charity shop objects delivered by National Story Telling Laureate, Katrice Horsley.
